WELCOME TO CHESTNUT HILL FARMS!
Chestnut Hill Farm is located in Eastern Connecticut on 75 scenic country acres. We are a small horse farm and raise quality horses. All our foals are imprinted at birth and are handled on a daily basis. Our broodmares are quality stock, with excellent lineages. Most have been shown and have show records. All of our broodmares are registered APHA, and three of the four broodmares are also registered PtHA. We are careful about the stallions that we choose to use with our mares, looking for complimentary characteristics. Our training methods are gentle, kind, and effective.

While the colorful coat pattern is essential to the identity of the breed, American Paint Horses also have strict bloodline requirements. They can be bred by breeding Paints to Paints, Paints to Quarterhorses, or Paints to Thoroughbreds. No other combination is acceptable to the APHA. All must fit one of the color pattern requirements for Overo, Tobiano, or Tovero.

Our broodmares are quality paint and quarterhorse stock, with excellent lineages, including Sonny Dee, Gamblin’ Man, Skippa Streak, Skip Hi lines, Native Dancer, Tonto, Comet Bar King, Major Bonanza, Black Nugget, Major Holiday, Dry Tivio Badger, San Peppy, Hollywood Doctor, Poco, and Leo.
